Overview

Are you an RN or an LPN? Have availability in summer 2025 between June 16th and August 15th, and love kids and camp? Come work, live, and play with us this summer! Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA, a premier overnight summer camp for youth in Southern New England, is seeking Camp Nurses.  

 

This job announcement is not intended to be inclusive of all functions, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the position, however, representative of the essential job functions and typical criteria considered necessary to successfully perform the position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Health Care services at their assigned camp.  Work within specific scope determined by level of licensure and the BCCYMCA Health Care Standing Orders. Consult the Camp Physician as circumstances dictate
  • Health care services include emergencies, illnesses, in-patient care, sick calls, and transport of patients to specialist or hospital, medication administration, etc.
  • Communicate with camper/participant families as needed/appropriate
  • Provide the Camp Director / Operations Director with daily reports and trends. Inform camp staff of health issues and necessary care as needed
  • Maintain health records files, daily log, and treatment book, etc.  Ensure the completion of all paperwork submit all forms in a timely fashion  
  • Maintain medical equipment, supplies, first aid kits, medicines, etc.
  • Help to ensure that the Infirmary is kept clean, quiet, and prepared to deal with emergency and on-going health care at the camp

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Experience working with children
  • Currently certified as an RN or LPN in MA
  • Must be able to provide proof of a physical within the last 18 months and proof that you are up to date on all required immunizations. 
  • Under Massachusetts state law, our campus is a drug- and alcohol-free zone.  No one, regardless of legal age, is permitted to consume alcohol or drugs including nicotine or tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) on the Becket-Chimney Corners properties.

Posted Salary Range

USD $30.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr.
